COVER STORY
Accepting the Fulton Challenge

Multimillionaires Ira and Mary Lou Fulton are offering an unprecedented opportunity for growth at UVSC. As they've done at other universities, the Fultons are offering to match penny for penny the donations of UVSC faculty, staff, alumni, students and board members. But there's a hitch: to inspire a culture of giving, fund-raising goals set by the College must first be met.

POWER OF THE PASTRY
Your belly's bound to rumble over this article. For those who consider the Hostess
Twinkie to be a culinary delight, this article will undoubtedly teach, preach and change your preconceptions of America's favorite after-dinner delight: the delectable dessert.
Q & A WITH DOUG SPENCER
UVSC alumnus Douglas Spencer '02 and UVSC Sequel Staff Writer Jessica Beck '06 first met in Washington D.C. last fall when Spencer and his wife hosted a group of UVSC interns for dinner. This summer, Beck met up with Spencer again as he passed through Utah on his way to U.C. Berkeley where he plans to add a master's degree to his already impressive resume which includes an Ivy League degree and work at the U.S. Department of the Interior.
WOLVERINE WRAP
As many Utah Valley State students were in the midst of summer vacations, Wolverine athletes kept pace with the demands of a rigorous yet successful season. Wolverine Track star Michael Vick was recognized by ESPN The Magazine and golfer Nic van Vuuren won the event of the year for UVSC Athletics.
