Bursting at the Seams

With opening of the 2006 Utah legislative session, UVSC begins an aggressive lobbying campain to gain approval and funding for a new and desperately needed campus library. Currently, the College offers less library space per student than any other state college or university in Utah with students being forced into hallways and onto neighboring campuses to meet the study and research demands of their UVSC courses.

With tremendous response to last issue's cover story, "Sowing Seeds of Goodwill - Teaching AIDS Prevention in Ghana," Sequel Magazine offers additional coverage of the UVSC Community Health Program designed to do nothing less than effect global change.

UVSC construction management graduate, Scott Bills '00 returns to campus twice a year recruiting employees for Hensel Phelps, one of the nation's largest commercial contractors. Follow Sequel Assistant Editor Megan K. Laurie to the construction site of the new Alameda Country Juvenile Justice Center and Courthouse as she interviews Bills and three fellow Wolverines managing the $135 million building project.
