If you are interested in applying for a service provider position (i.e. Interpreter, TypeWell, Stenographer) you must first complete a UVSC application through Human Resources. Then, please contact the Manager of Deaf Services for more information about skills evaluation.

Mentors
UVSC provides a great opportunity for skill development for interpreters through a mentoring program. Meeting with a mentor regularly is mandatory for provisional and level 1 interpreters and strongly encouraged for all others interpreters. Mentors meet one-on-one with each mentee for personal skill development. They observe interpreters in the classroom, provide skill development material and perform evaluations.
