Dr. Ian Wilson, Dean

Welcome to the Woodbury School of Business (WSB) at Utah Valley University (UVU). This is an exciting place to be and an excellent place to receive a great education. The business programs at UVU are accredited by AACSB International, the largest and most prestigious accrediting body for business programs in the world. Less than one-third of the business programs in the United States and only about fifteen percent of the business programs in the world hold this accreditation.
Our sincere and heartfelt thanks go to the Woodbury family for their generous $20 million gift announced on October 19, 2007. Their gift will insure the continued growth and excellence of business programs on this campus. We are indebted to this family for many reasons. Members of the Woodbury family have served on our National Advisory Council, spoken on campus, supported students and faculty with scholarships and grants, and provided support for the arts at UVU. The Woodbury name stands for integrity which will be a hallmark of our business programs. For all of these reasons, we are proud to be called the Woodbury School of Business.
As of July 1, 2008 UVSC will become Utah Valley University. Select graduate programs will follow the name change. The WSB faculty members currently are developing a proposal to offer an MBA degree to begin in 2009 or 2010. Please re-visit the WSB website for announcements and updates on our progress.
Through all of our improvements and changes, UVU will remain an open admission university providing opportunity for all. We welcome all students who value quality education and have a desire to succeed. Please contact our advising office at (801) 863-8032 for information about our courses and degree programs.
