Installing ZEN Inventory Client on a Mac 

Step 1: Verify/Change your computer name.

In order to better track our computer inventory we ask that all computer names include the computer inventory number. To verify or change your computer name follow the instructions below.

1. Click System Preferences
2. Click Show All
3. Click Sharing
4. Verify that the Computer Name includes your computer inventory number. If it does not do the following.
   • In the Edit box Labeled "Computer Name" type in the new computer Name.
   • The new computer name should contain your department code (i.e. BUSO for Business Office, UFRA for Fire Science) and the inventory number listed on the UVSC Sticker. If you don't have an inventory sticker call Angie Duke at 7334. Your Computer name should look like: BUSO-0010475A
5. Click The Red button
6. If you changed your computer name you will need to reboot.

Step 2: Installing Zen Inventory Client.

1. Unzip zamclient_install.pkg.zip.
2. Run the file that was extracted.
3. Follow the prompts in the wizard.
4. After installation you can delete the install files.
