Services We Offer

What do we do?

Our Counselors provide a full range of vocational evaluation and counseling services to students, faculty, and the community. Assessment and evaluation services are available in the following areas:
  • Vocational interests
  • Personality preferences
  • Aptitudes
  • Work values
  • Achievement levels
These services include:
  • Career testing
  • Career counseling
  • Career exploration
  • Use of the career library
  • Use of the computer program, CHOICES

What is the process?

The process involves:
  • Administration of appropriate tests;
  • A personal, career counseling session, where test results are interpreted and reviewed; and
  • A brainstorming session on this person's specific circumstances, needs, and preferences.
  • There is a charge for the testing services. Find out more about the tests that are offered.

The brainstorming session will involve searching our Career Library and our computerized career information system, CHOICES.

This usually takes between 2 and 3 hours. Individuals are welcome to call 863-8425 to set up an appointment for these services (office hours). We have 11 counselors, at a Master's level who are available to assist at times that are convenient for the individual. Find more information about our office staff.
