GENERAL INFORMATION
The Community and Adult Education Program through Utah Valley University and in partnership with Alpine & Provo School Districts are dedicated
to making school and college facilities available to you. Programs are designed to meet the academic, vocational,
avocational, cultural and social needs of the area. Patrons should feel free to select classes at any location
along the Wasatch Front--from Lehi to Provo.
Federal and state program standards require that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, sex, national origin, age and/or handicap be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination in employment or services rendered under the State and Federal Adult Education Acts. If you have questions, concerns, or need accommodations in order to participate in any of the classes listed in this brochure, please call (801) 863-8012.
Community Education is not responsible for penalties or difficulties encountered by students who fail to comply with our regulations, procedures, and deadlines printed in this schedule.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds are gladly given when a class is cancelled by Community Education staff
or when a request is confirmed with our staff at 863-8012, 48 hours prior to
the first night of class. If you are not satisfied with a class you will receive
a credit towards another class or may petition for a refund. A $10 processing
fee will be assessed for all refunds requested by students. Full refunds are
given if your class is cancelled. Refunds may take 3 - 4 weeks to process.
We cannot guarantee that all courses listed in this schedule will be available when you register, and we reserve the right to cancel a course if there is insufficient enrollment or other conflicts. If your course is cancelled, you may select another course or receive a refund. An attempt will be made to notify you by phone when it is necessary to cancel a course.
ADDITIONAL FEES
Unless specified in the course description, required materials, handouts, etc. are included in the course fee.
AFTER YOU REGISTER
After you register for any of our terrific classes, plan on attending at the date and time published. You will be notified if there is any change to the class. (In the case of severe weather, call 801-863-8012 before you leave for class.)
FOR YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY
To insure a child will not be left alone in a school in the event a class has
been cancelled and notification has not been possible, please make certain that
your child is in the classroom and the teacher present before you leave the
school. Also, pick up your child promptly when class is finished. Children should
carry money for a phone call in the event that there is no access to office
phones and there is a problem with their ride. For your child's safety, we request
that you adhere closely to this regulation.
