UVU Concurrent Enrollment - Withdrawal and Dropping Procedures

*The policies outlined below were established by Paul Puzey, State Office of Education Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator

*Dates given for dropping courses are based on a formula given by Luann Smith, UVU Registrar

Marks For Dropped Semester Classes

Days of Semester = days high school is in session

1 - 20 Days of Semester Considered not enrolled in class Nothing shows on college transcript.
21 - 30 Days of Semester Considered an official withdrawal "W" shows on college transcript.
31+ Days of Semester Considered an unofficial withdrawal "UW" shows on college transcript. If a Distance Education or Center class, an "F" grade shows on high school transcript. In certain circumstances, an exception may be granted by the high school district. Student must contact the appropriate district personnel to discuss waiving a "UW" grade. The district will communicate their decision with the Concurrent Enrollment office.
