Degree Requirements
One-Year Certificate (27 credits)
The 27 credits are distributed as follows:
PLSC 2600 and 2620 (both required) - 4.5
Additional PLSC Courses Selected from Core Classes - 19-21
Courses selected from Approved Electives - 2-4
Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) (60 credits)
The AAS degree requires 60 credits, and a minimum of 30 credits are required to be from USU. 15 of the 30 remaining credits come from general education classes taken at USU, UVU, or any other approved institution. The other 15 credits come from approved equivalent or substitute classes (for example Spanish classes can count as an elective for the AAS, and UVU's Plant Biology can substitute for USU's Structure and Function of plants).
Technically, the 60 credits are distributed as follows:
