Facility and Grounds Management Expo at UVU
OREM, Utah-For the 21st year UVU Conferences & Workshops is hosting the Facility and Grounds Management Expo at the Sorensen Student Center at Utah Valley State's Orem campus on June 29th, 2007 from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This year's theme is "Gaining the Home Court Advantage". This popular annual conference is attended by over 400 participants from Utah and the Mountain West and is geared toward facility managers, grounds supervisors, custodial, housekeeping, maintenance, and grounds professionals. The Expo is open to all who would like to attend and features equipment and vendor exhibits, motivational speakers, recertification, and 40 training and development workshops.
The Facility and Grounds Expo is designed to give in-depth training in a variety of areas to help people get the most out of their business and learn about the newest and best cutting-edge technologies. Keynote speaker, Scott Williams, CFE, is the Senior Vice President of Facilities for the Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment Group of Companies.
Training workshops at the Expo will show new ideas and techniques and will cover management training, professional development, facility and grounds management, carpet and hard floor systems, and general custodial topics. According to De Smith, "My third year of attendance was informative. We were able to share ideas and new techniques. Plus it was very fun and a social gathering of peers."
