Fall into Your Creative Zone
OREM, UTAH-Enhance your creativity or learn a new skill with one of our many classes including stained glass or painting with oil paint on canvas. Community Education classes are being offered in October through the non-profit partnership between Utah Valley University and Alpine School District.
Classes are held at the Simple Earth Foundation in American Fork. Damon Peterson teaches all three classes and is an energetic teacher who makes learning fun no matter what a student's level of skill is. Peterson is passionate about pottery and community art education.
Using traditional techniques like cutting, fitting, foiling, and soldering students can create a masterpiece in the Stained Glass class. This class will also introduce and study the fundamentals of pattern design. Class begins October 13th and runs through 27th from 12 pm to 3 pm.
Students of Oil Painting will learn the fundamentals of painting with oil paints on canvas including the concepts of composition, color, scale, form, and the manipulation of basic painting materials. Classes are held from Oct. 4-25th at 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm every Thursday.
Registrations are currently being taken and class sizes are limited.
