Student on computerSoftware Copyright Concerns

UVSC must comply with Software Copyright Laws and Software Licensing. Any illegal or unauthorized software found on UVSC equipment will be immediately removed upon discovery. Software must be registered with the software office in the Purchasing department. No software may be illegally copied or modified based on licensing and copyright restrictions

Authors of software should protect their software through the copyright or patent process unless they desire their work to be open-source. Institutionally developed software should be protected in accordance with the Intellectual Property Rights policy.
