Dance Scholarship Information

(for Academic Year Fall 2008 and Spring 2009)

ATTENTION New and Transfer Students:  For General Academic Scholarships, make sure you apply for admission, as well as submit your grade transcript and ACT score to the Scholarship Office, phone 801-863-8443 or fax 801-863-8448 by February 1, 2008.  If you are only interested in auditioning for a Dance Scholarship, you will still need to apply for admission to the college by February 1, 2008.

REGISTRATION:      Ballroom -  7:00 AM - 7:30 AM

                                 Modern  -  8:30 AM - 9:00 AM

                                   Ballet  - 11:30 AM-12:30 PM

All registration will be held outside suite LA 111 (Liberal Arts building - located on the north end of campus, east of the McKay Events Center)

AUDITIONS:             Ballroom - 7:30 AM - 12:00 Noon in PE 154

                                 Modern -  9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon in PE 152

                                   Ballet - 12:30 PM -  2:30 PM in PE 152

Award Value/Number of Awards/Conditions

Performing Scholarship: For each Performing group, 7 full in-state tuition waivers and 2 out-of-state tuition waivers.

• New or Continuing student
• 2.5 Cumulative G.P.A. 
• Specific course requirements for each performing group 
• Minimum of 12 credits each semester on scholarship
• Member of a performing group

      Dean's Merit Scholarship:  For Dance Majors, 3 half in-state tuition waivers

• New or Continuing Student
• Declared Dance Major
• 3.0 Cumulative G.P.A.
• Minimum of 6 credits of Dance each semester on scholarship
• Minimum of 12 credits each semester on scholarship
• Progression through the Major
