Taking a Quiz

1. After entering the Quiz area, select the available quiz you would like to take by clicking the hyperlinked quiz title (Figure 9.3).
2. Read the instructions on the Quiz Introduction page (Figure 9.4)
4. Select the desired answer by either clicking the radio button next to the correct choice, or typing an answer into the textbox.
5. Click the Save answer button after each question.
6. Note the Question Status frame on the right-hand side (Figure 9.5). Not only does this show you the time remaining in the quiz, if applicable, it also indicates which questions you have not answered, have answered and saved, and have answered but not saved. Refer to this before you finish your quiz to ensure that you have answered and saved your answers for all questions.
7. Click the Finish button when the quiz is complete. You will be prompted to confirm.

Viewing Quiz Results

Upon completion of a quiz you may be given the opportunity to view the results of your quiz immediately depending on how the instructor has set up the quiz. To do so, click the View Results button (Figure 9.6).

Alternatively, you can check up on your quiz scores by viewing their individual quiz results through the Quiz tool.

1. Inside the Quiz tool find the quiz that you would like to view the results of. Click the View scores button (Figure 9.7).
2. Under Attempts click the hyperlink for the attempt number that you would like to view (Figure 9.8). (Some quizzes are set up to allow students to attempt a quiz multiple times.)
3. The View Results screen displays a slew of information (Figure 9.9). In addition to your personal information and quiz details you can see:
   • This attempt number
   • Date and time this quiz attempt was started and finished
   • Total time spent on the quiz.
   • Individual question response details are listed below, including information such as the correct answer choice, your answer choice, and instructor’s comments on the question or your answer choice. (Note: the instructor controls the level of detail shown for each question response.)

You should also note that you may view all your quiz results at once by clicking the View scores for quizzes hyperlink near the top of the Quiz tool.
