ESL Mission Statement
The mission of the English as a Second Language program at Utah Valley State College is:
Assist international and non-native English speaking students in becoming proficient in the English communication skills of listening, speaking, writing, and reading.
Prepare international and non-native English speaking students to succeed either in an American college or university or in the job market.
Familiarize international and non-native English speaking students with the American culture.
