Listening
Before you start:
- There are many different types of media on the Internet. Windows Media�, RealMedia�, and Quicktime�. Be sure you have access to these players from home or a computer lab. Many of these files will not play unless you use the correct player.
- Try to determine what connection speed you will need to hear and see the media files for these sites. Remember that a media file that downloads and plays well with high-speed connections will take a long time to download and view at slow connections.
- Many of these sites have been created without language learners specifically in mind so they will require the support of a teacher or specific assignments.
