Check Application Status or Award

Log into the UV Link portal with your UV ID and password. Click on the "Financial Aid Menu" located in the middle of the page.

The "Financial Aid" page will list the different school years separately. Messages specifically for you will be listed under the related heading. Please follow any instructions posted. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact or visit our office.

Follow Up

Once your aid has been awarded, follow these steps to ensure timely payment:

1. Acknowledge receipt of your "Award Notification" on-line through your UVLink account within 15 days.

2. Register for all credit hours for which you would like financial aid. Remember, there are no credit hour adjustments after the third week of each semester.

3. If you are awarded a Federal Perkins Loan, complete Online Loan Counseling and the "Student Loan Questionnaire." Then contact the UVSC Collections Office (BA-012; 863-8611) to sign a Promissory Note.

4. If you are awarded a Stafford Loan (subsidized or unsubsidized) or PLUS loan, complete Online Loan Counseling before your loan is certified and processed. If you are a first-time borrower at UVSC, be sure to complete the "Master Promissory Note" (information will be sent to your permanent address from UHEAA.

5. If you are awarded Federal Work Study or UCOPE Work, contact the Work Study Advisor in Financial Aid (BA-105; 863-8551) for a job referral and assignment.

Financial Aid awarded to you will be credited to your account at the school. Any remaining balance after tuition and fees are paid will be mailed to you or sent electronic funds transfer (EFT) to your bank account.
