Getting a college education is an investment that will pay back for a lifetime. People with a college education have better job opportunities, earn more money, and develop skills and knowledge that can never be taken away. We commend you for supporting your student in this endeavor!

Encourage your student to maximize UVSC’s many financial aid programs, by applying early. Scholarship applications are due February 1st. To receive federal and state aid, the application process should begin in January. Have your student submit their FAFSA as soon as you (and your student) have filed their taxes for the year.

If you or your student have very unusual or special circumstances, please visit with a Financial Aid Advisor to review options and additional resources.

Important Reminders:

• Have your student check their UVLink email often-this is the way we will communicate with them!
• Make sure Financial Aid & Scholarships has a copy of your student’s high school transcript.
