POST APPLICATION FAQs

Please Note: We finished reviewing all Summer 2008 graduation applications on September 16th and have posted deficiency notices in the Degree Information link in UVLink. Please check with your department regarding any deficiencies you feel are in error. Official documentation of graduation is your Acadmic Transcript and may be requested through UVLink or One Stop.

HAVE I MET THE GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS?

Check your graduation information and status in UVLink:
1) Login to UVLink;
2) Click on the Student Records Menu link (located on Home and/or Student tabs;
3) Click on the Degree Information link.
(This link can be viewed anytime after the Graduation Office has reviewed and accepted your Graduation Application.)

When will my records show I have graduated?
The Graduation Office will start awarding/posting degrees approximately 2 weeks after the end of each semester. This posting process takes approximately 6-8 weeks and is done alphabetically by last name. The moment your degree is awarded/posted, the status text in the Degree Information link will say "Graduated for (year and semester)." Official documentation of graduation is your Academic Transcript and may be requested through UVLink or One Stop/Records.

When will I receive my Diploma?
Diplomas are mailed to the diploma mailing address you indicated on your graduation application immediately after your degree is posted (unless holds are on your records). You can view your diploma mailing address in UVLink under the Student tab then Personal Information link. Contact the Graduation Office immediately if the address needs updated.

Note: Spring 2008 graduates who requested a UVU diploma will receive their diploma in July 2008.

How will I be contacted if there are problems or questions with my graduation?
Check your UVLink e-mail address. This is how you will be contacted if questions or problems arise during and after the semester of application. Approximately 8-10 weeks after the end of the semester, graduation deficiency notices will show in the Degree Information link listed above.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO WALK IN COMMENCEMENT?

Commencement Ceremonies are held once a year in April. Students who are eligible to participate will receive an invitation via their UVLink e-mail in early March. If you wish to participate, you must register with the graduation office. For more information, please view the Commencement web page.
