Student/Graduate Information
OVERVIEW
UVSC holds one graduation ceremony a year at the end of Spring Semester (April). There are two types of graduation exercises; Commencement (main ceremony for all graduates) and Convocations (school ceremonies - individual graduate recognition). Students who graduated in Summer or Fall 2007 or students who applied to graduate in Spring 2008 are invited to participate via UVLink e-mail in early March. Participation is desirable but not mandatory. All students wishing to participate in the commencement and/or convocation exercises must register to participate with the Graduation Office by March 14th and must wear a Black Cap & Gown to the exercises. There is no cost to attend commencement and/or convocation. Students participating in commencement and/or convocation may have related expenses such as: cap & gown rental, announcements, honor cords/medallions, etc.
COMMENCEMENT LETTERS (top)
Eligible students will receive a
Commencement Letter via
UVLink e-mail in early March inviting them to participate in the Commencement and Convocation Ceremonies. The letter will contain information about how to register to participate in the ceremonies, the UVSC Grad Fair, and who to contact about ordering cap & gown, announcements, honor cords/medallions, etc.
Students who
registered with the Graduation Office to participate in the Commencement and Convocation Ceremonies will receive a
