Frequently Ask Questions


Campus Visitor Network Login Instructions

  1. Connect your laptop to the network jack. Make sure your laptop is set to receive its IP using DHCP.
  2. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, etc.). Enter a URL (example: www.uvsc.edu) you will be redirected to the Clean Access login Page.
  3. Click ‘Yes to accept the certificate
  4. Enter the username and password provided by your host (a guest account can be obtained from the UVSC Help Desk 863-8152)
  5. Windows users will be directed to a download page. Download and install the Clean Access agent (you may need administrative rights on your PC to install the client).
  6. The Clean Access agent will issue a certificate, click the ‘Yes’ button to accept the certificate
  7. Enter your username and password into the Clean Access agent to log into the network.
  8. Your system will now be checked to make sure: Anti-Virus is installed and up to date*
  9. Microsoft OS security patches installed
  10. If your laptop fails any of these checks the Clean Access client will give you temporary access to update sites to allow you to fix the vulnerabilities.

 

 

Once you have logged into the network you will have access to many common network services (web, ftp, mail, etc.). If you will need access to specific services (network ports), please contact us ahead of time to make sure those services are allowed through the firewall.

 

To make this process easier, please update your machine before coming onto campus.
