To disable active hyperlinks in WordPerfect 8 or 9, follow these steps:

1. From the Tools menu, select QuickCorrect.
2. In WordPerfect 8, click the QuickLinks tab. In WordPerfect 9, click the Speedlinks tab.
3. Uncheck the Format words as hyperlinks when you type them checkbox.
4. Click OK.
