Corel 2000

In WordPerfect 9 how do I use templates?

Templates are a useful tool for creating preformatted documents. They are especially helpful if you do not know how to use all the formatting features of WordPerfect. After you open a template file, personalizing the document is as easy as highlighting the text with your mouse, pressing Del, and typing in your own text. There are 34 templates included with Corel WordPerfect 9.

To create a new file using a template, follow the steps below:

  1. In Corel WordPerfect 9, from the File menu, select New from Project... .
  2. Click the Create New tab. On the drop-down menu, make sure WordPerfect 9 is highlighted.
  3. From the menu, select the type of document you would like to create, and click Create. For example, to create a thesis, you would select Turabian Report.

Now you have created a new document with the template you chose, and can edit it as you like.
