How to delete items from Junk List in Groupwise


A recent rash of complaints has been occurring thanks to people accidentally junking e-mail addresses they need . . . minor things like Payroll Advice has gone missing from some people. I was asked to develop a procedure to delete the junked address from the GroupWise Junk List and share it with the HelpDesk. . . So I did - and here it is!

Steps to delete items from the Junk List in GroupWise:

1. Open GroupWise

2. Choose "Tools" from the menu bar

3. Choose "Junk Mail Handling" from the drop down menu

4. Select the "Junk List" Tab

5. Select the address or domain in question from the list

6. Click the "Delete" Button

7. Click the "OK" Button

Steps to delete items from the Block List in GroupWise are the same, simply choose the "Block List" in step 4.

Finding an address in the Junk List or Block List is a manual process. The list is sorted alphabetically forward or backward. The sort order can be changed by clicking the "Address/Domain" heading title for the list. Addresses and domains are all together in the list.

An example: Payroll@uvsc.edu

First, scroll the list to "P". Look through the entries to find the address. If the address is not found, look for the domain "uvsc.edu" by scrolling to "U". If the address/domain is not found in one list (Junk List or Block List) try the other list.
