In Microsoft Office 2000, how do I expand my drop-down menus?

By default, Microsoft Office 2000 compresses the drop-down menus so that the most common and recently used commands appear first. In order to view the hidden commands and expand the menu, you can click the down arrow at the bottom of the menu list. Clicking this arrow will expand the menu temporarily until the next time you use the menu.

In order to expand the menu permanently, run one of the Microsoft Office 2000 programs and do the following:

  1. Click Tools and then click Customize.
  2. Click the Options tab.
  3. Under "Personalized Menus and Toolbars", uncheck Menus show recently used commands first, and then click Close.

These changes made in one Microsoft Office 2000 program will affect all other Microsoft Office 2000 programs.
