In Microsoft Word, after making changes to my Word document, how do I update the Table of Contents?

To update a Table of Contents after making changes in a Word document:

  1. Select the Table of Contents.
  2. Press F9
  3. When the Update Table of Contents dialog box opens, select the Update entire table radio button.
  4. Click OK.
