At the Novell login box type your username which is the first six digits of your last name followed by the first two digits of your first name (example: Angela Heaton = heatonan) and hit enter. (The exception to this rule is if the username is already taken for example: Mike Johnson and Michelle Johnson. The username cannot be duplicated.)

A box will pop up saying your password has expired would you like to create a new one. Choose �y' for yes, hit enter, create a password (minimum of 6 digits�numbers or letters), tab (or mouse) to the next box and retype the password.

Next, a Windows password box will pop up, delete all stars, click OK. If the box comes back saying �Password not correct'�cancel through (hit the cancel button until it stops showing up.)

Next, if you have GroupWise in your startup a GW box will pop up. If it doesn't, open GroupWise. Check to see if it is showing your user ID, if your user ID is not showing, type your user ID in the box. Type the password: 12345 Then click: tools/options/security. At �old password' type: 12345 and hit enter. Make your new password (most people like to make it the same as their network password) and press tab and type the new password again. Be sure to check both boxes: Remember my password AND No password required for NDS if you DON'T want to be prompted for a password each time you launch GroupWise.

And finally, if you signed up to receive access to SIS, FRS, HRS, or LMS, come down to Computer Services/Operations (AD005) to initialize your ALPHA password.
