You may be working from behind a firewall. If you are at a place of business or a llibrary your system administrator may have port 4443 blocked.
If this is not the problem check that you have all your pop up blockers disabled to test if this is causing the problem. Also check if you have Norton's Internet Security on your system.
If you have Nortons Internet Security:
- Right click on the globe "Norton Internet Security" and then left click on "Norton Internet Security".
- Then go to "Privacy Control" and click configure on the right.
- Then click on the "Advanced" button. Then click on "Add Site" and add "uvlink.uvu.edu".
- Once added, on the global settings tab, go to "Information about your browser" and set it to "permit"
- Go to "Information about visited sites" and set it to "Permit"
- Also check what Pop UP blockers you are running and add uvlink.uvu.edu to the allowed sites
