Reinstalling McAfee if you get the message that your virus definition files are corrupt.

If you log into your computer and you get this message you need to uninstall and reinstall your version of McAfee Antivirus.

To do this go to Start, Setting, Control Panel, click on Add/Remove Programs. Highlight McAfee VirusScan v4.0.3 and click on the Add/Remove button.

When it a screen comes up that says Are you sure you want to remove McAfee Antivirus? say yes. When it asks you to reboot go ahead and do so.

 

Upon logging back on a screen will come up saying that McAfee is being installed. Allow it to install and then reboot one more time and you should now have a clean version of McAfee installed.
