Macintosh's are purchased through the bookstore. Submit the requisition to purchasing who will order the computer for you. When purchasing a Mac the AppleCare Protection Plan must be purchased with the computer. This will extend the full warranty on the computer to three (3) years.

When your new Mac arrives at the UVSC bookstore, it will be sent to the HelpDesk first. We will contact you and see what additional software or features you need installed or activated before you pick it up at the Bookstore. We will install the software and activate the features you request and then return it to the bookstore for you to pick up.

Remember that the new Intel based Macs will run not only Mac OSX but also all versions of Windows and Linux. This allows you get the BEST of both worlds!

Make sure you have the latest virus software. The HelpDesk has the Mcafee Virex software at no cost. Call x8888 if you do not have this installed.
