About Us

Off-Campus Housing Services was established to provide Utah Valley State College students with information on available housing in the Provo/Orem area. Our office works with landlords to provide current listings to UVSC students. Students are not required to live in any of the listed off-campus housing and all UVSC students are allowed to find accommodations of their choice within the community.

The Off-Campus Housing Services office provides up-to-date listings of local housing facilities. We provide rental rates for Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer; deposit amounts; number of bed/bathrooms; utilities paid by the renter; distance from campus and a list of apartment amenities. Current contact information for all landlords, including address and phone numbers, is available. Listings are our way to partner with our students and community landlords.

Information on current housing can be obtained at the Off-Campus Housing Services office (SC 106g) located in the Sorensen Student Center. We also provide listings by mail for students. Current listings are available online at www.uvsc.edu/housing, as well as the campus Housing boards, located in the food court on the first floor of the Student Center and the concourse located between the Student Center and the Business Building. Local landlords and students can post housing listings through the Off-Campus Housing Services web site, or by calling the Off-Campus Housing Services office (801-863-8659).

Utah Valley State College wants its students to enjoy their living environment. Because living conditions can greatly influence a student's growth and performance, UVSC requires landlord's adherence to the following criteria (established by the Off-Campus Housing Office) in order to be listed in the college's publications:
  • Landlord ensures that all apartment descriptions, advertisements and promotions are updated and not deceptive.
  • Landlord does exercise good faith, fair dealing, and honesty in all relations with Tenants.
  • Landlord shall maintain facilities in accordance with all federal, state, county and city laws or ordinances and zoning requirements.
  • Landlord must notify UVSC Off-Campus Housing Office of any change of ownership.
UVSC also provides a free mediation service through the office of Judicial Affairs & Dispute Resolution. This is a tool that can be utilized to help resolve disputes that may arise between a Landlord and Tenant. For further information on this service, please call the office of Judicial Affairs & Dispute Resolution at 863-8694.
