Intersections is written and edited by UVSC Integrated Studies students. Now in its 7th year of publication, Intersections is a showcase of some of the best work submitted by Integrated Studies students for their Senior Thesis. Each year we choose a student to be the editor-in-chief who is responsible for all aspects of the journal, from organizing a collection of editors, to the selection of papers, to the actual process of formatting and publishing the journal.
2007 Intersections Editors-in-ChiefWe're pleased to announce the selection of Steph Hunter and Michael Morrow as the 2007 Intersections Editors-in-Chief. More details to follow. Why get involved in the publication of Intersections? It's a great way to add some practical experience to your resume or vita. You'll become familiar with the process of choosing academic papers that are submitted, determining which ones will most perfectly capture the idea of papers that show the integration of multiple disciplines. You'll learn to work with an editorial staff and learn how to make the submissions conform to publication standards. Finally, many Intersections teams do the technical layout and design by themselves and this knowledge (using tools like Adobe InDesign, Quark, and Photoshop) is highly marketable. |

You can read any of our discussions there. You may request to be a part of the committee (giving you posting rights) on the site as well if you're interested in being more involved. We're looking for interested faculty and students to be a part of the committee. We're also interested in having students fullfill editorial positions.
Submitting An Article For PublicationEach team makes its own decisions about what will be published. As a rule, publications come from Integrated Studies students who have written their Senior Thesis.
