This very responsive site allows anyone to view the Periodic Table in five languages. It is easy to access data for any one of the elements by clicking on the symbol in the table or by using an index function and accessing the data by symbol or name of the desired element.

The objectives of this site are to promote advancement of the field of organic chemistry. This is done by providing access to scholarly papers and posters as well as informing students, chemists and faculty members of their upcoming conferences and other events.

This site, whose aim is to provide an organized set of links to information for organic chemistry researchers, fully achieves this objective. Of particular note are the experimental and analytical sections. The practical advice given in selecting experimental conditions is unique for a web site, and the analytical section provides coverage of all major spectroscopic techniques used by organic chemists.

PubChem consists of three databases: Compound, Substance, and BioAssay. Compound and Substance database records provide basic physical data, attributes important in drug discovery, and structures; Substance describes samples containing one or more compounds, whereas Compound describes specific molecules. BioAssay provides datasets of compound bioactivity against various targets; to date nearly all datasets are cancer screens from the National Cancer Institute.
