Woodbury Art Museum presents BFA Show 2008

UVSC’s Woodbury Art Museum will host their annual BFA Show starting February 22 and running through March 11. An opening reception will be held on February 22 at 6:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Each spring the department of Art & Visual Communications presents an exhibition of advanced students that are candidates for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. This degree imposes a higher standard rigor and expectation on its candidates in professional development of their artwork than the normal Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees. The candidates must demonstrate a level of proficiency on par with professionals in their chosen emphasis.

This year’s exhibition features the work of Rob James, illustration; Arthur Nelson, graphic design; Brad Hoen, graphic design; Kelly Larsen, painting/drawing; and Caleb Henderson, illustration.

“We are pleased to present these artists in this debut exhibition and rite of passage into the professional world,” said Marcus Vincent, director of the Woodbury Art Museum.
