January 2006

January 1st- Public Intoxication-A 22 year old male was arrested at the New Years Eve party at the Mckay Events Center for public intoxication.

January 1st- Urinating in Public- A 19 year old male was arrested in parking lot S when a officer observed the suspect urinating on a truck that belonged to another person.

January 1st-Posession of Concealed Weapon- A 35 year old male was arrested by Sgt. Smith and charged with Posession of a Concealed Weapon; a gun  in parking lot P.

January 1st- Medicals-  There were a total of eleven medicals during the New Years Eve Bash at the McKay Events Center with three transported to local hospitals.

January 5th- Traffic Accident- Two vehicles were involved in a traffic accident at North College Drive and 1200 W resulting in both vehicles suffering major damage.  The driver of the westbound vehicle was cited for Failure to Yield.

January 5th- Agency Assist- Officer Sprague responded to Walmart to assist Orem Police with a suspected shoplifter that had pulled a knife on store security personnel.  The man was arrested and booked into Orem's holding facility.

January 6th-Illegal Consumption- Two 19 year old males were arrested when they were found drinking  alcohol inside a vehicle in parking lot T during the Welcome Back Dance.

January 6th-Assault- A intoxicated adult male was assaulted by a unknown assailant at the Welcome Back Dance.  The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

January 13th- Medical- Officers responded to the Liberal Arts building on a report of a uncontrollable nose bleed.  the patient was relased on scene.

January 14th- Medical-  Officer Shuler and Orem Paramedics responded to the McKay Events Center on a report of a wrestler with a neck injury.  The patient was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

January 25th- Prescription Forgery- UVSC Police had been investigating an ongoing prescription forgery case.  Earlier today, the 28 year old suspect was arrested at his home in Alpine and charged with nine 3rd degree felonies for prescription forgery.  The suspect is currently being housed in the Utah County Jail.

January 28th- Burglary-A UVSC Student was arrested for burglary and theft.  The student has been charged with numerous burglaries for incidents that have taken place over the last several months.  The student is currently being housed in the Utah County Jail.     Update: On 04/25/2006 the suspect Roan Petgrave pled guilty to Burglary a 3rd degree felony, Evidence Tampering a 2rd degree felony, and Theft a class A misdemeanor.  Roan remains in the Utah County Jail awaiting sentencing.
