June 1st- Fire Alarm- A sprinkler head was broken in the warehouse causing the fire alarm to activate. The fire sprinkler was hit and broken by a fork lift being used in the area.
June 2nd- Agency Assist- UVSC Officer Pryzbyla responded to a roll over traffic accident on I-15. Upon his arrival, he found some of the occupants to be ejected from the vehicle. A female driver died as a result of the accident. Officer Pryzbyla assisted with the investigation and documentation of the accident. Alcohol was a factor in the accident.
June 6th- Exhibition of Speed- A vehicle was stopped near 400 S Geneva Rd after it was observed racing against another vehicle. The driver was cited for exhibition of speed and driving left of center.
June 12th- Medical- A 24 year old male employee collapsed in the Liberal Arts building. The patient was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment.
June 13th- Trespassing- Officers responded to the Reagan Theater on a report of a custodian that was caught in a restricted area and would not leave the property when told to do so by his supervisors.
June 13th- Threat Alert- UVSC Police met with a student named Kiddus Yohannes at the Utah County Jail. Kiddus was trespassed from UVSC property after Orem Police arrested him on weapons violations. Kiddus has a history of weapon violations and has shown a pattern of disturbing behavior.
June 16th- Agency Assist- Officer Ross responded to I-15 on a report of a roll over with injuries. A 11 year old boy was ejected from the vehicle. The entire family is reported to have suffered minor injuries.
June 19th- Medical- A adult female was struck by a foul ball during the Owlz baseball game. The women was evaluated on scene by Emergency Medical staff and refused further treatment.
June 19th- Medical- A male visitor at the Orem Owlz baseball game suffered a seizure. The male has a history of seizures and was transported by his parents home to rest.
June 23rd- False Info- A 18 year old male was charged with false information to a Police Officer when he was stopped for a traffic violation.
June 24th- Medical- A 67 year old male fell at the McKay Event Center and was reportedly injured. The 67 year old male refused medical attention but wanted to know who was going to compensate him for his injuries.
June 24th- Illegal Consumption- A 17 year old male was arrested for Illegal Consumption at a dance hosted by the Orem Owlz.
June 25th- Agency Assist- Officer Ross responded a a local gas station after he observed a Orem Officer fighting with a young male suspect. Officer Ross assisted with taking the suspect into custody. The young male suspect was being arrested for pulling a knife on his grandparents and threatening them. The suspect was booked into a local youth detention facility.
June 26th- Medical- Officers responded to a report of a seizure in the Liberal Arts building. Orem Paramedics arrived on scene and transported the female patient to a local hospital for further evaluation.
June 27th- Agency Assist- K9 Officer Smith responded to WalMart along with two Orem Officers on a report of a domestic violence in progress. Officers were able to locate the husband inside of WalMart and took him into custody.
June 28th- Agency Assist- K9 Officer Smith responded to 400 W and University Parkway on a traffic accident with injuries. A 48 year old woman was arrested for DUI. The woman had just had back surgery and was on pain medications when the accident occurred.
June 28th- Suspicious Circumstances- Officers responded to parking lot Q on a report of a handgun sitting on the bumper of a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and found a soft air pistol on the vehicle. Officers made contact with the vehicle owner and were told that the owners son's were playing with soft air pistols at home and must have accidentally left it on the vehicle.
June 28th- Medical- Officer Rockwood responded to the Brent Brown Stadium on a report of a male having chest pains. The 81 year old male recently has a history of heart problems and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment.
