MARCH 2007

March 5th- TRAFFIC ACCIDENT- There was a traffic accident at the round-a-bout when a vehicle failed to yield right of way and struck another vehicle.

March 5th- FIGHT- A fight broke out between two students playing intramural basketball in the Activity Center.  When Officers arrived on scene, the suspects had already left the area.

March 7th- CAR FIRE- UVSC Police and Orem Fire Department responded to a car fire at 1034 W 800 S. Faulty electrical wiring appears to be the cause of the fire.

March 14th- AGENCY ASSIST- UVSC Police responded to I-15 and 800 S on a brush fire.  A UDOT Incident Management truck was able to put the fire out prior to the arrival of Orem Fire Department.

March 18th- STOLEN CAR- A stolen car was recovered near the Liberal Arts building.  The car had been recently stolen from Provo.

March 18th -WARRANT SERVICE- A traffic stop on Geneva Road resulted in the arrest of the driver.  The 20 year old driver had four outstanding warrants for his arrest.  The driver was booked into the Utah County Jail for the warrants as well as new charges for Improper Display of Registration, No Insurance, and Driving on Suspension.

March 18th- DRIVING ON SUSPENSION- A vehicle was stopped for revoked registration.  The driver was cited for Revoked Registration and Driving on Suspension; and was warned for an outstanding warrant.

March 18th-TRAINING EXERCISE- Orem Fire Department conducted a training exercise at the Computer Science Building.

March 19th- AGENCY ASSIST- UVSC Police assisted Orem Fire Department at Summerwood Apartments with traffic control  when a sprinkler head was activated by someone hanging a clothes hanger on the sprinkler head.
