Awards are a result of the generous donations from individuals and organizations. Recipients are selected through a joint process between the UVSC Gifts and Grants Committee and the individuals and organizations. All awards are subject to available funding and based on donor specified criteria.
Application dates for "new" UVSC students-February 1; "continuing students"-March 1.

Students wishing to apply for private scholarships within the School of Business MUST complete the following or the application will not be considered:
In the "letter of intent" section of the New or Continuing Student Online Application, student must write a minimum one-page well-written essay explaining personal interests, professional goals, and reason for choosing this area of emphasis. This may be done online, or sent with Application to the Scholarship Office by fax at: (801)863-8448 or mailed with Application to:

NOTE: Unless otherwise stated, all Privately Funded Scholarships require a minimum GPA of 3.0 and students must be enrolled full time (12 credit hours).
List of Scholarships in School of Business:

Maxine Winterton Kroescher Endowed Scholarship
  1. Recipients of the scholarship shall be students of the Wasatch Campus of UVSC
  2. Recipients shall be students majoring in the School of Business.
  3. Scholarship shall be awarded on academic excellence.
Benjamin and Ivy Wilson Sholarship
  1. Recipient must be enrolled in the School of Business and has maintained at least a 3.4 GPA
  2. First priority goes to Canadian citizens, otherwise the scholarship will be awarded to any qualified student in the School of Business.
Thone Heppler Zions Bank Scholarship
  1. Recipient must be in his/her Junior or Senior year enrolled in the School of Business.
  2. Recipient must exhibit a well rounded life balanced between work, community service and schooling.
  3. Recipient must write a one page letter indicating “Why they desire this scholarship
Joseph Dan Adams Scholarship
  1. Student must be accepted into the UVSC Law Enforcement Academy enrolled in the Second Module.
  2. Student must complete a UVSC Scholarship Application and submit transcript of his/her scores from the first Module and write an essay on his/her desire to work in law enforcement.
  3. Student who demonstrates strong financial need shall be given priority consideration.
  4. Final selection will be made by a committee constituting: the Director of the UVSC Law Enforcement Academy, the UVSC Legal Studies Department Chair, and members of the Joseph Dan Adams family.
Gerald G. (Jerry) Conder Memorial Endowed Scholarship
  1. Student must be enrolled in UVSC School of Business.
Far West Bank Endowed Scholarship
  1. Student must be enrolled in UVSC School of Business.
  2. General Academic Scholarship.
First Security Foundation Scholarship Fund
  1. Student must be a student studying in a business related field.
  2. The selection can be made on the basis of merit and need.
  3. Students from the Intermountain area will be given preference.
Stephen W. Gibson Entrepreneurial Scholarship Fund
  1. Award is to be made solely for students enrolled in UVSC Entrepreneur Program or at least shown their interest in the field by taking a class in entrepreneurship.
Key Bank Scholarship Fund
  1. Student must be enrolled in UVSC School of Business.
  2. General Business Scholarship.
Leadership Scholarship for High School Seniors
  1. Awarded to high school students who have participated in the Annual Leadership Conference.
  2. Students must demonstrate leadership qualities.
Ron and Terri Lindorf Endowed Annual Market Research Scholarship Fund
  1. Student must demonstrate an interest in market research advertising or marketing by outlining interest in an essay (not to exceed 3 pages) about future career goals related to these fields. This must be at college-level writing with emphasis on concise, well-written ideas.
  2. Student must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
Mass Mutual Scholarship
  1. Recipients must be enrolled in the School of Business majoring in Business Management with an emphasis in finance or majoring in Accounting Education.
  2. First preference will go to residents from Salt Lake and Utah counties.
Miles & Mary Morris Business Endowed Scholarship Fund
  1. Students must be enrolled in UVSC School of Business.
Nature's Sunshine Products UVSC Scholarship
  1. Students must be enrolled in UVSC School of Business.
Nu Skin International, Inc. Endowed Scholarship
  1. General Academic Scholarship
  2. In essay, student must state future business goals and plans to achieve those goals.
Ollivier Business/Entrepreneurial Endowed Scholarship
  1. Students must be enrolled in UVSC School of Business
R C Willey Home Furnishing Endowed Scholarship
  1. Student must be enrolled in UVSC School of Business
School of Business Alumni Scholarship
  1. General Academic Scholarship; need-based for one student.
  2. Student must be enrolled in UVSC School of Business.
  3. Student participation on Alumni Board for one year.
School of Business Discretionary Scholarship
  1. To be used at the Dean's discretion
School of Business Faculty/Staff Scholarship Fund
  1. Student must be a continuing student enrolled in UVSC School of Business.
  2. Financial need must be clearly demonstrated.
Siddoway Family Endowed Scholarship
  1. Student must be enrolled in UVSC School of Business.
  2. Student should be involved in the programs of the Center for the Advancement of Leadership
  3. Financial need must be demonstrated
Don and Toni Sullivan Endowed Scholarship Fund
  1. The annual available amount will be split between two students, one in the School of Business and the other from the Nursing Department in the School of Science and Health.
Tahitian Noni International Scholarship
  1. Scholarship for students enrolled in the School of Business.
  2. In well-written essay (see above), student must state past business-related activities and future business goals.
Utah Hotel and Lodging Association Endowed Scholarship
  1. Scholarship candidate must apply in writing, declare a major in Hospitality Management and be a sophomore or junior.
  2. Must have an overall GPA of 3.2
  3. Candidate should assist or attend various UH&LA functions as a quest of the Association.
  4. Recipient will be selected based on his/her fulfillment of scholarship requirements, work experience in the industry, related extracurricular activity, financial need, and information included in short essay.
Utah Valley Management Society Scholarship
  1. Students in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  2. Students will be a sophomore, junior or senior.
  3. Student must not currently be receiving any other scholarship awards..
  4. Student must be a business major.
  5. Preference will be given to Utah County residents..
Woodbury Endowment Scholarship Fund
  1. Student must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5
  2. Student must be a declared business major.
  3. Student must have 30 completed credits at UVSC, 15 of which credits in the business school.
Worth of a Soul Foundation Endowed Scholarship
  1. Recipients must be a UVSC student with documented diabilities, majoring in the School of Business.
  2. First priority will be for students with financial need.
  3. Final selection will be made by a committee from the School of Business, with verification from UVSC's Accessibility Services documenting the disability.
Zions Bank Endowed Scholarship
  1. Student must be enrolled in the School of Business.
  2. In well-written essay (see above), student must state career goals.
