Milestone Management Incubator Program
Mission Statement
Through collaboration with the Small Business Resource Center, Utah Valley University (UVU) wants to help new and emerging business clients become successful through the use of the University's academic and student resources, the Milestone Management incubator program (MMI) and state of the art office facilities. This is a short-term, fast track program that "jump starts" the commercialization of a business within two years.
What is the MMI program?
The Orem Small Business Development Center in partnership with Utah Valley University has established the Milestone Management Incubator program located in the basement of Building L at the Canyon Park Technology Center (1555 N Technology Way, Orem).
The MMI program has been established to assist entrepreneurs with office space, conference rooms, and mentoring services. The incubator also provides access to: business coaching, business planning, business related training seminars, networking opportunities, 24/7 building access, high speed internet access, telephone service, elevator access, unrestricted parking, and flexible lease terms.
What are the requirements of the MMI program?
In order to participate in the MMI program tenants must provide a detailed description of their two year business plan. Each tenant will provide this plan as outlined in the Seven Step Milestone Management form. The Small Business Development Center will provide this form to each tenant upon approval of their application.
How do I apply for the MMI program?
All potential tenants will be required to fill out an application. Contact our office at 801-863-8230, or sbdc@uvsc.edu. After the application has been received, the governing incubator committee will review the application and determine eligibility. The tenant will then be contacted regarding move in dates and other program requirements.
How much does the MMI program cost?
The incubator provides office space for up to 10 tenants. The monthly rental fee will depend on the space each tenant chooses. Currently, the base incubator price is $10/sq. foot.
What are the terms of the MMI program?
The initial term of the lease will be for a period of one year with an automatic renewable one-year term thereafter.
