Mission Statement of the
Small Business Development Center
at Utah Valley State College
We help current and prospective business owners and entrepreneurs assess opportunities, develop business plans, refine current strategies, overcome challenges, and connect with needed resources as they advance their business ventures. We deliver these services through a combination of workshops, one-to-one consultations, on-line information, networking within the local business community, and networking with UVSC's faculty and students.

- A self-assessment tool for identifying the needs and goals of your business
- Assistance in defining or refining your business and marketing strategies
- Coaching with the development of your business plan
- Assistance with loan applications
- Introduction to other available community business resource providers, both for-profit and not-for-profit.
- Assistance with the process of selling to government entities
- Access to files of information concerning every business topic
- Other assistance as determined appropriate through client needs and SBDC expertise
