Mechatronics: A hybrid discipline that utilizes the principles of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering to design and produce complex computer controlled electro-mechanical systems.
Utah Valley State College has received a $1.756,637 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to apply towards mechatronics education. Additionally the Micron Foundation donated $20,000 for student scholarships.
The degree is approved and scheduled to start in Fall 2008.
