Utah Valley State College
School of Technology and Computing -- Technology Expo

Automotive Dyno Days 2008

In conjunction with the annual Technology Expo and Skills Challenge, the Automotive group at Utah Valley University would like to start a tradition of Dynamometer testing of high school student vehicles.
We will have traveling trophies to be displayed in the winners high schools and personal name plaques for individuals and their high school instructors.
The testing will be done at the UVU Automotive lab with UVU instructors monitoring and testing the vehicles. No students will be allowed to test vehicles. All vehicles will be tested at a pre-determined RPM.

There will be three categories:
1. Diesel pickup trucks
2. 4-Cylinder vehicles
3. 6-Cylinder and up vehicles

There is a limited time and space for the testing, which limits the number of entries we can accommodate. All entries are on a first come first serve basis, with a maximum of two entries per school. There will be 16 entries allowed in the Diesel pickup truck category, 8 entries allowed in the 4-cylinder category, and 8 entries allowed in the 6-cylinder and up category.

Registration is due by May 2, 2008.

Contact Professor Paul Bean to schedule vehicles for testing at 801-863-8243 or email at beanpa@uvsc.edu.
