- SCANTRON TESTS [machine scored tests]:
These are generally multiple-choice tests which will be answered on an answer sheet and scored by Classroom Testing. Provide enough copies for about a third of the number of students who will be taking the test. Example: if 100 students will take the test, provide about 30-35 copies to Classroom Testing.
- WRITE-ON TESTS
Students write directly on the test and no scoring is available. Provide a copy for each student who will take the test.
- COMBINATION TESTS [machine scored AND written on tests]:
Students answer part of the questions on an answer sheet that is scored and also writes out some answers directly on the test. Provide a copy for each student who will take the test.
- TWO-PART TESTS [tests with a multiple-choice section and a separate written on section]:
Students will receive both parts of the test as they enter the testing center and must take the entire test in one sitting. The instructor’s name, class name, and class number must be on both parts. Provide a copy of the written on part for each student who will take the test.
- BATCH SCORING
Instructors who wish to give tests in class may have them scored in the testing center. Students need to answer on a Classroom Testing green answer sheet and must bubble in their name and social security number. Batch scoring tests must be accompanied by a key and test identification form.
