We are located in the Woodbury Business Building room WB145. TRiO is a federally funded program that provides ongoing support throughout a student's college career. We promote student development by providing opportunities to grow personally, socially and academically.
At present, we are funded to serve 150 qualified students.
To Qualify for SSS is easier than you think!
To qualify you need to meet two of the following criteria:
- Is a citizen or national of the U.S. or meets the residency requirement for Federal student financial assistance.
- Is enrolled at UVSC or accepted for enrollment in the next academic semester.
- Has a need for academic support, as determined by UVSC, in order to pursue successfully a post-secondary educational program.
- Is:
- A low-income individual - You are receiving financial aid, such as, PELL Grant, SEOG, Student Loan, Vocational Rehab, need-based scholarship or your taxable income meets federal guidelines.
- A first generation college student - Neither of your parents received a four-year college degree before you were 18 years old.
- An individual with disabilities - You have a documented learning or physical disability. SSS works very closely with the Utah Valley State College Accessibility Services and Projects With Industry Departments.
