Executive Summary Central Utah needs a regional state university to service the burgeoning educational and economic needs of its citizens and businesses. Utah Valley State College, with its history of preparing students for their lives, as well as for the workforce, is ready to assume the expanded role of providing university services for the region. Granting UVSC university status will benefit the students of Central Utah by adding value and prestige to the degrees offered by the institution and will enhance the image and economy of the region and the state.
