Carolyn H. Merrill, principal of American Fork High School, is also a graduate of American Fork High School. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Utah in math education and taught advanced mathematics for fourteen years at Olympus High School. She also taught math remediation classes for four years at Salt Lake Community College. She earned her masters degree at Brigham Young University in educational leadership and was then hired in Alpine School District as an assistant principal at American Fork High School before becoming Principal.
Married to Randall James Merrill, they live in Orem and have two children currently attending Utah Valley State College.
