Are You Ready to Step Up to Fitness?
Walking for Wellness is a program designed to help you incorporate physical activity into your life, no matter how busy you are. This program gives you all of the tools you need to plan and track daily walking habits, while making more physical activity a permanent part of your lifestyle.
How does it work?
It's easy. You can do this program 3 different ways, 1) you can do this program independently online, 2) you can work weekly with a health educator online (receive weekly session materials, make goals and communicate all online) or 3) you can come into our offices and meet weekly face to face with a health educator.
If you choose to work with a health educator you will meet with them face to face or communicate online once a week to receive nutrition and fitness information and to set goals to increase your physical activity levels. The health educator will also be available to you to answer any questions or concerns that you might have throughout the program.
How much does the program cost?
The program is available to all UVU employees and students for a fee of $25.00. If you would like to do the online program on your own you can purchase a pedometer from us for $20.00.
If you have any questions, you can contact us at 863-8127 or at
